My Parliament

After days of headache from watching our members of parliament squawking away into the night, I thought I'd take the matter into my own hands.  My parliament is ready.  In the making I was inspired by many things I love about Greece; our ancient heritage, the colours of the cycladic islands, the stars of summer nights.

There they are sitting in the windows!

I hope they imbue our silly lot in there with some wisdom, cause we sure as hell are going to need it.

  1. Oh I love them!!! All googly-eyed from too much tear gas or from watching too much tv news!! Or are they our nutty governors staring out of the Syntagma windows??!! Either way, they are brilliant and a wonderful portrait of us all these days!! I love the love-struck ones! But also the lime green stary-eyed one!!! All of them!!! And they're presentation!

  2. They are owls! Yeah they prob are extra googly eyed from the two things you mentioned, arent we all, at least from one of the two. Sometimes a flock of owls is called a parliament, so I pulled them together now that the powers that be are providing new leaders for us. I'm so happy you like them, come visit them sometime, they have found a nest on my living room table :)

  3. Very clever!! How comically ironic also that the owl, with its ability to see in the dark, helps symbolize wisdom at the side of Athena. Lets hope that our new parliament will be a flock of owls then!
